After waking up yesterday and feeling no better I made an appt to see the doc. Double Whammy - sinus infection and an ear infection. I've now had a sinus headache since Sunday, a new record I believe. I haven't been to work all week, can't wait to see that paycheck! I'm going back Friday (Thurs is my regular day off) and the doc didn't even want me back at all this week.

I forced myself to go out to eat for the Beav's birthday, although its the last thing I wanted to to do. We had made reservations for here , which is one of the kids favorite places. We even reserved the kitchen table, which means you get a table in the kitchen, which I think is possibly the loudest place on the face of the earth. Every pan banged around was like a knife in my head.

The Beav received a plethora of DVD's, which is a bit of an issue because he watches too much TV as it is. Of course I was guilty also because I bought two, but hell it was easier and he's at that stage where he's not into toys that much.

I think I'm almost ashamed that it's 9am and I'm still sitting in my pajamas.

Tonight is my last OA meeting of the year. Sigh. I'm a bit melancholy about it all. I still have to attend the meetings next year as I will be chairman of the board, however I won't be leading the meeting. I have a severe case of empty nest syndrome and I was talking to another past president last night who assured me all of what I've been feeling is very normal.

In other news I've been invited to a party on Friday night. I know, no big deal, but it kinda is. For those of you who read me before you know I'm a bit of of a "kinkster." You also know it's something that I've had issues with because the hubby isn't. I delved into that world a bit over the summer, however, I only seemed to meet creepy and scary people. With the exception of V. V is a domme and we've become friends. Not that kind of friends. I like doms of the male variety. She invited me to a party where there will be lots of other kinksters. Not that kind of party. It's just a holiday get-together, but I'm excited that I'll be meeting some new people that, well, "understand" for lack of a better term. It's casual, so I'm thinking jeans and a top...hmm, a red corset. To go with the SHOES. Ok, I'm too lazy to go take a pic of the shoes right now. But I will, and I will post them, and then you'll see why I need to wear them.

I just hope I'll feel better by then. Trying to appear sexy with post nasal drip is pretty difficult.
